Hot Pot Day!

A Winter Favorite When It's Cold Outside...

It has been so cold lately that we decided to gather everyone together and do something cozy and warming. A Chinese traditional winter meal hot pot was the perfect opportunity. Every student had the chance to bring something in to share with the group potluck style. First we introduced what we brought for the day and then took turns cooking our own food and refills for the group. What an exercise in autonomy for the children as they chose, cooked, ate independently as well as getting a chance to cook for others afterwards.
