'Tis the season at Mulberry Tree! Our wood working projects are underway. We are making Christmas ornaments and mini Christmas trees in the work studio to take home, using our child safe wood saw to create intricate pieces that can fit and hold together! The kids feel so empowered and excited to be able to work with tools independently and parents can feel assured that all these tools are completely child safe.

After spending some time making ornaments for our Christmas trees at home in the work studio, we decided to do something different. One of the kids had a brilliant idea of making our own personalized mini Christmas trees. We picked our own branches to arrange in the log cookie, then painted and decorated our trees with colorful string. What a brilliant and fun idea to boot! Each child has their own to bring home and display proudly for the holiday season.

We had a blast at our holiday party with our students and their families. It was a great turnout. Some students brought some creative dishes such as marshmallow snowmen. We had so much food, even enjoyed huge bone in rib eye steaks on the barbecue.

We made goodie bags for all to take home. In between nibbling on food we had a great time playing together outside too!
